Emberstoke is an independent technology company based in British Columbia, Canada. Our work is informed by a simple economic observation: as computation becomes capable of developing, improving, and operating productive systems, its role in the economy becomes substantially larger.
Autonomous coding agents are beginning to change the economics of software engineering. The opportunity extends far beyond new applications: decades of accumulated software infrastructure may become economically feasible to inspect, renew, secure, and improve. Those changes can ripple through every industry that depends on software.
Better software and machine intelligence also support the long transition toward robotics and autonomous physical systems. We are interested in the compute infrastructure, technical capabilities, and ownership arrangements that will support that transformation.
Oculan produces fully editable vector artwork from written prompts. It puts generative computation into the everyday work of creating documents and presentations.
We follow the relationship between computational capability, productive systems, and economic ownership. Our interests span software capital renewal, intelligent machines, the infrastructure supporting them, and access to future useful work.
